Jessica Ennis and Usain Bolt to victory...

... In a great night at the Berlin world championships.

The fantastic (and gorgeous) Jessica Ennis produced something along the lines of Daley Thompson classic, leading from start to finish, but going one better than Daley and dominating the 800 meters with a blistering start!

I gotta say, wow, go girl! It's just the beginning for you, at 23 there is still it all to win, even as the world champion.:o)

You done us all proud. And yes accept it Jessica, ya hot!  :o)

Not to be ignored, impossible most would say, Usain Bolt is just in a class of ...one!

Not only did it break his own world record, he blew it apart with 9.58 and I reckon put it out of reach for a loooong time.. 20 years no doubt, if anyone is going to break that, it's him!
Tyson gay did a great time and yet, there was no way Usain was going to be beaten, there is only one person who can beat him, that's himself, he could only lose it.

All credit to both, what a future seeing as Usain is still only 22, looking forward to watching more great things from these two!

Lewis Hamilton wins in Hungary...

... and good to see him win again, he did say he would do well and was going for a win.

Good to see another Brit on the top of the podium.

When did we last have two different Brits win races in a season? Can't happen that often!

Massa crashes in quailfying...

Thankfully he seems to be on the way to recovering, but shocking stuff nevertheless.

With modern technology as it is it makes me wonder why there there is no remote cut off for the throttle and switch on for the brakes in cases like this where the driver is unconscious.

Safety is the number one priority, surely this has been considered as an option? Regardless of the notion "it's always a risk" which we all know anyway, it would take nothing away from the sport as it would only be used in extreme cases like this one with Massa.

That was a long way he went before he slammed into the tyres... enough to have stopped the car completely... if they had this sort of thing.

Senna ran along way too before his crash, though I agree this safety measure may not have helped him... but it would definitely have stopped Massa at best, at worse it would have slowed him down alot.
